PROBLEM SOLVING HOT ROD CHASSIS PARTS FOR OVER 40 YEARS.
Transmission crossmember mount designed for GM transmissions (T350, T400, 700R4, etc.). The crossmember plate can be welded to a length of 3″ x 1-1/2″ x 1/8″ wall HSS tubing which can also serve as a welded crossmember. The saddle can drop down without disturbing the exhaust. Designed for Model “A” frames but works great in any vehicle that has a flat floor. The plate for the transmission insulator is 6-1/4″ below the bottom of the crossmember tube and about 7″ ahead of the front of the tube. HSS tubing not included, but available in the Options menu.
Note: The welded kit includes the crossmember tube (3″ x 1-1/2″ x 1/8″ wall x 40″) with tabs welded to the tube. A $10 UPS charge is included in the price of the welded kit and the individual tube price.
A kit is also available which includes a welded saddle assembly, two crossmember tabs, and all necessary hardware. This is called “Welded saddle, no tube” in the options list. This is for builders who will use their own tube, but would like the saddle welded.
We offer both a stock-style rubber insulator and a polyurethane insulator from Energy Suspension. On personal builds, I'll only use the urethane mounts - they help prevent the vehicle from "jiggling" at idle and from torquing off a light. They feel much more secure than the rubber mounts. We believe they're worth the price difference.
Also available are taller crossmember plates that will drop the saddle 1" lower than the standard kit. See options.

Every customer is different. You’re different from the next customer. That’s why they’re called 'custom'ers. There is no formula, no equation that will work with all of you. It takes a different approach to everyone to determine how best to serve anyone. Some people need videos, some people need descriptions. Some people need us to weld it together. Our approach has been, and will always be, to serve each of you where you are and to treat you the same way we would like to be treated. We officially opened the doors to Welder Series in 2005. That doesn’t sound like very long, because the product line has been percolating for over 40. Paul Horton began developing and building many of the parts we still manufacture when I wasn’t yet a twinkle in Dorothy’s eye. Thanks very much for your business and support over the years.

Note DW and Paul Horton at Welder Series absolutely rock and were quick, prompt, by far the best communication I’ve had with an online vendor in a LONG LONG TIME… (Sorry but their response time was bar none awesome). Very rarely do you find the level of dedication to a customer, communication, and a rewarding experience for both the buyer and supplier. I bought a pedal assembly a bit ago, and that experience automatically ensured that I will source Welder Series before I search for another vendor. Paul and DW have it together and will make a solution to your problem… and probably at the best price around to boot.
